The GoWeb Redirection service provides one or more virtual email addresses based on your domain. These addresses do not actually store or collect mail, instead they can be used to provide a professional appearance to your otherwise standard mail address that you might already have through your ISP or other service.

For instance, if you have the domain name yummycookies.com.au and currently have an email address of you@some-isp.com.au you can create the virtual address sales@yummycookies.com.au and have any mail going to this address end up in you@some-isp.com.au.

sales@yummycookies.com.au -> you@some-isp.com.au

In addition to quick forwarding of your personalised email, we provide spam filtering and virus scanning free of charge on all your forwarded mail. Unlike many other email service providers we do not charge any extra fee for spam and virus protection.

If you don't already have an email account that can store email, we can provide you with that too. Standard POP3 mailboxes are available for a nominal charge.

Most of GoWeb plans include one or more virtual addresses. You can set up virtual addresses to handle mail for specific purposes or to go to specific people or addresses.

For example:

orders@yummycookies.com.au	-> bill.smith@some-isp.com.au
accounts@yummycookies.com.au	-> judy.chan@some-isp.com.au
catering@yummycookies.com.au	-> rob.roy@some-isp.com.au

Most of our hosting plans include a feature we call a "catch-all". The catch-all gives you an infinite number of virtual addresses using your domain name. Continuing with the original example, a catch all for the domain set up as

@yummycookies.com.au -> judy.chan@some-isp.com.au

would mean that email to any other virtual address not defined in the original example will end up in Judy Chan's email account. So Judy could publish virtual addresses such as "marketing@yummycookies.com.au" or "specials@yummycookies.com.au" and these would go to her existing email address.

One of the best things about these features is that under most plans, the redirections can be managed, added to, deleted etc via the JustNet Client Service site. All changes you make to your forwarding, including creating new email addresses, take effect immediately any time of the day or night.

Benefits of email redirection

As you can see, there are several benefits to using email redirection. The most obvious one is that you will be able to publish email addresses that are easier for people to remember. Another is that it brings about a powerful extra level of control to this modern method of communication - invaluable if you are dealing with customers.

Email redirection also helps make you independent of your ISP. You can change to a different dialup or broadband provider without needing to change your email address.
